This photo project was something Jess and I worked on for about 3 months. We were driven by our goal of getting our photos published in ARCHIVE magazine this year. That didn’t happen but we learned a lot and still came out with some great photos. I had fun trying to use modeling and creative direction to tell a story. What we ended up with was our collection, which we named EQUINOX- each look having its own character, themes and intentions. “Laundry Day” is about a country girl celebrating the first time she’s able to hang her laundry this year by relishing the sunshine. “Tea Party” is about a young lady who has isolated herself through her guarded personality, though she really longs for companionship. “Homesick” is about a woman who got lost in the woods near her home as a child, and never found her way back. Over the years, she has wandered, explored and collected remnants of civilized life to furnish her home in the wild.
Jess does lots of amazing photography work, please check her out and book her if you’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic portrait photographer in Humboldt County!
